Fishing Report for Truckee River / Little Truckee River

Winter is here!

The temperatures are very brisk lately, fishing has been better in the mid-day, due to the warmer water temps. It should be sunny for the next week.

The Truckee has been fishing well.

Coppers, birds nest, zebra midges, CADDIS, black stones, SJ's, Oct Caddis, golden stones, small olive stones, soft hackles, & crays have all worked well lately.

Dry Fly & Streamer fishing has been a bit slow...but now with winter, you can still find fish on a streamer. Stick to the basic streamers; Wolly buggers have worked for me best.. olive & black work!
