Pardon my recent hiatus but summer is here and the activities are in full swing. Due to most of our water being non-fishable at the moment, I headed up north to ski Mt. Shasta, did a bit of sailing, home-brewing, and scouting new waters in the greater Truckee/Tahoe area. Several new places were found and I suspect the flows should be dropping within the next week or so. Clarity is starting to come back and the fish are hungry… Max came up from the Bay Area and had some success catching a few bows! I am off to fish the McCloud River up north for a few days, then head down to catch the hex hatch on the Fall River (just outside the town of Burney). Oh and the dry fly’s are starting to show up in numbers, so get those cripples ready!
